Get wed in style in our stunning and historic Rickety Barn. This beautiful 300-year-old Barn with solid oak beams, wooden floors, and wrought-iron chandeliers. Winter weddings are sheer perfection when the ambience is enhanced by our twinkling fairy lights.

Our bar is open before your winter wedding ceremony, so we will ensure your guests receive the warmest of welcomes on arrival. With alcoholic drinks and soft drinks plus a selection of luxury coffees available for your guests to enjoy as they get ready for the celebrations ahead.

The Boudoir at Bassmead has been designed with your wedding morning preparations in mind. With its stylish design and cosy ambience, this delightful space sets the stage for relaxation. Inside, you’ll also find The Salon, with hair and make-up stations, perfect for getting ready with your friends on your big day.

 

 

The delicate details and warm atmosphere of the Boudoir create the perfect sanctuary to calm your nerves and embrace the joy of your winter wedding.

As your guests leave and your family retire to our onsite accommodation, allow yourselves to retreat to the intimate and luxurious Dove Cottage, our exclusive honeymoon suite. Spanning two floors, this stunning cottage features boutique décor that exudes elegance and romance.

 

 

Appletree Cottage offers a perfect accommodation option for your loved ones or closest friends. With seven ensuite bedrooms, this charming cottage accommodates up to 14 guests.

Real Winter Wedding Experiences

Nicola and Daniel were on the lookout for a rustic barn with a contemporary, elegant edge… and Bassmead Manor Barns had just that! “We also loved the moat running around the barn,” says Nicola. “It made it feel extra-special and really different to other venues we visited.”

This couple chose a theme to bring the outside in for their winter wedding. The colour scheme was lush greenery with blush pink, cream and hints of gold.

“Our wedding was towards the end of November. With winter just setting in, we wanted to keep the colours muted but add a little glamour.”

A fabulous floral arch of foliage including eucalyptus and rosemary with white and cream roses, hydrangeas and anemones decorated the Rickety Barn and was then brought through to the Moat Barn with a ‘Mr and Mrs Lewis’ sign as a great photo backdrop.

In the evening, a live four-piece band filled the dance floor. Bassmead’s outdoor wood-fired pizza oven provided some tasty treats, with guests dancing, drinking and eating slices of pizza until the last song of the night.

Nicola reflects, “Remember this day is all about you and your groom so make sure to spend as much of the day together. I told Daniel that this was important to me before the wedding day and he remembered and never left my side all day… all of my memories from the wedding include my wonderful new husband, which is amazing!”
